The mission of St. John of Kronstadt Orthodox Christian School is to provide an education…
that encourages the spiritual development of the students by participation in the Orthodox Christian Church services & community life
that is academically strong, with a college-preparatory program
Spiritual Development of the Students
The schedule of the school year reflects the liturgical cycle of the Orthodox Church, which students experience
through their regular participation in daily services. Students also participate in various organized good works
and acts of mercy offered to those in need such as the IOCC school kit program.
A vital aspect of St. John's School is that students are guided in their spiritual development through interaction
with the clergy, teachers, staff, parents, and volunteers, who strive to reflect the belief and values of the
Orthodox Christian Church.
Academically Strong
It is our goal to integrate a balanced spiritual perspective into all studies. We teach personal responsibility,
accountability, self-discipline, and Orthodox Christian morality and ethics. All education can reflect the majesty,
order and goodness of God. The curriculum includes instruction in the basis skills of occupational education,
science, mathematics, language, social studies, history, health, reading, writing, spelling, art, and music, all in
sufficient units for meeting state board of education graduation requirements.
